Ray Chang and Carl Chang Scholarships
Since 2014 and 2015 respectively, our Chapter has awarded the Carl Chang and Ray Chang Scholarships, in memory of the outstanding contributions these distinguished Georgians made to our Alma Mater.
Awardees

2025 Carl Chang Scholarship
Every year, this scholarship is awarded to the recipient of the Principal’s Award. The 2025 recipient is Jerome Hayles, an outstanding student whose achievements exemplify academic excellence and dedication.
Jerome has been a committed member of the School Challenge Quiz teamsince first form and has represented the school in numerous competitions, including the UTECH Mathematics Competition, where his team emerged victorious. With a strong passion for languages, Jerome achieved Grade 1 in both French and Spanish at the CSEC level.
At the 2025 Graduation Ceremony, Jerome received multiple awards and was the Valedictorian. He is currently pursuing studies at the CAPE level in Accounting, Economics, Pure Mathematics, Caribbean Studies, Spanish and French.

2025 Ray Chang Scholarship
Collin Haynes can be described as a well-rounded student who has excelled in both academics and extracurricular activities. He is an active member of the school’s Volleyball Team and the St. George’s College Band, demonstrating balance, teamwork, and dedication.
At the 2025 Graduation Ceremony, Collin was recognized for his outstanding performance in Mathematics, receiving the subject award. He is currently pursuing studies at the CAPE level in Accounting, Economics, Pure Mathematics and Caribbean Studies.

2024 Carl Chang Scholar
Kurt Walker, aged 18, graduated with honours in 2024 and has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2024 Carl Chang Scholarship.
Throughout his academic journey, Kurt has demonstrated exceptional commitment both in the classroom and on the field. A dedicated sportsman and accomplished cricketer, he has consistently maintained a high academic standard. At the 2024 graduation ceremony, he was awarded the Principal Award and also received the Vinton Powell Award in recognition of his outstanding excellence in Physical Education.
Looking ahead, Kurt plans to pursue advanced studies in Physical Education, Communication Studies, Accounting, and Business Managementas he continues to build an impressive foundation for his future career.

2024 Ray Chang Scholar
Antwaun Beason, aged 18, graduated with honours in 2024 and has been awarded the distinguished 2024 Carl Chang Scholarship.
A diligent and conscientious student, Antwaun has distinguished himself through active leadership in the Tourism Action Club and the Entrepreneurship Club. His commitment to both academic excellence and extracurricular involvement highlights his well-rounded character and forward-thinking mindset. At the 2024 graduation ceremony, his achievements were proudly recognized by the school community.
Moving forward, Antwaun plans to pursue advanced studies in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Communication Studies, laying a strong foundation for a successful career in business and entrepreneurship.

2023 Carl Chang Scholar
Ranaldo Wint, aged 18, graduated in 2023 with an impressive average of 80.8% and was proudly named the 2023 Carl Chang Scholar
Driven by a clear vision for his future, Ranaldo aspires to become a Software Engineer and Spanish Translator, careers that will allow him to blend his passion for technology with his fluency in language and culture.
Reflecting on his journey, Ranaldo shares: “Though the journey has just begun and I know my road will be rocky, I am well prepared mentally and physically to achieve my goals. I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

2023 Ray Chang Scholar
Damoy Cox, aged 18, has been selected as the distinguished 2023 Ray Chang Scholar.
An active and engaged student, Damoy has represented his school on the U-19 Basketball team and contributed meaningfully through his involvement in the Interact Club, demonstrating both athletic talentand a strong commitment to community service.
Looking to the future, Damoy is determined to combine his interests in Businessand Computer Science, with the ultimate ambition of building something of his own.
In his own words: “I would like to create my own business using the skills of my own mind, as well as the abilities of those brave enough to help me create a dream.”
