Christopher Lue, STGC Class 1973 Passes On….

Past President of the Jamaica Institute of Architects, Christopher Lue was found dead at his home yesterday. Chris graduated from St. George’s College in 1973. He was very well read and could speak on most topics with ease. He represented the school in the School Challenge Competition.

Chris liked to play [money football] & loved all genres of music; but his love was for [lime cricket] where he was considered a good spin bowler and an average batsman.

After high school, he studied architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

He worked on a number of projects on his return to Jamaica. Some of these are: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Complex on the waterfront- Project Manager, Sangster International Airport Expansion Project, Devon House Redevelopment and many others.

He was an executive of the Chinese Benevolent Association and the STGC Old Boys Association, Jamaica.

A very friendly and amiable person he relished conversing on all kinds of issues particularly those on national development and architecture.

He was very strong on procedures and accountability in all instances

His brother was the renowned Harvard scholar Robert Lue, STGC Class 1980 who passed on recently.

We are going to miss Chris. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
